VFW members and friends volunteer nearly 9 million hours to community
service annualy, not to mention the finaincial donations. This volunteerism
benefiting morale, education, the environment, health sciences and civic
projects within and outside the veterans community.
It is preferred that you submit your Community Service Reports (CSR's) online.
This shortens your time in processing the CSR, no mailing or e-mailing or running down
to the VFW to deliver it...so much easier.
Online makes our job easier too. We now have a single source that allows us to keep a
'record chain' of the CSR's and further process them to the DPA.
Or you can submit a paper CSR below
Click on the PDF icon, fill out
the CSR, email it -or- hand carry
it to the VFW office.
Either way you submit your Community
Service Report, it is requested that you complete one for for each Community
Service you've performed.
We encourage all our members and friends to submit your pictures and stories of your kind donations and events. You can submit them directly to us >HERE<

The Community Spirit
On Thursday March 5, 2020, Jr. Vice Cmdr. David Mason delivered to the PAF Community Support branch at Clark Air Base over 11,000 pesos ($220.00) worth of rice, canned goods, noodles, juice, toothbrushes, cereal, soup, and first aid supplies as donations from Post 2485 and it's members in a joint relief effort to be delivered by the PAF along with hundreds of other boxes of donations to the tens of thousands of evacuees at Evacuation Centers as a result of the Taal Lake Volcano eruption. The PAF personnel was very thankful for our Post and the community supporting their project
For the month of April 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic our Post and individual Post
members and friends provided aid (i.e. food and cash) to help fellow Veterans, their families
and our local communities adversely impacted by the crisis. There were 24 Community Service
Reports submitted for the month of April and I'm sure there were some unreported
donations as some were done with unwanted attention and no photos taken because
the entire island of Luzon was under an Enhanced Community Quarantine order.
Helping one of our own
Due to the corona virus outbreak and resulting lock-down in Angeles City, Mich, one of our own working in the DPA benefits services office @ the Post, could not get her paycheck. John Dibble, Post 2485 benefits services, and Gordon Ross, webmaster provided her the needed cash until she could get her paycheck delivered.
